Hello 2022, hello Verive Wizard
Hi there, I’m the Verive Wizard. One of the newest members of the Verive team. And no, I’m not just Santa with a green hat. In fact, the only thing we share in common is that we come from vulnerable habitats in the face of climate change. He’s from the Artic; myself, from the European old-growth forest.
You see, once upon a time, I grew up in a forest with tall trees and thick bark. But that was long ago. Sometime in my early years, people came in with loud machines and cut it all down. It created all kinds of issues for my community – local flooding, erosion, loss of biodiversity, and even hotter temperatures. That’s how I was first affected by human environmental stewardship. And it’s not just me. My friends the birds, the fish, and the turtles – they’ve also been impacted by certain plastics and the improper disposal of all kinds of waste.
That’s why, like many humans nowadays, I did not want to sit idly by. I decided to work towards positive change. I’ve committed my life to helping humans make that sustainable transition. Then when COVID-19 hit, many people the world over had to switch to takeaways and delivery. There are brilliant ways to source and dispose of single-use takeaway packaging, but a lot of the time, people just don’t know what needs doing.

On the other hand, businesses have to offer hygienic alternatives to plastics given the EU’s single-use -plastic ban. That’s when I teamed up with Verive to help those in need of food packaging choose the most-suited, sustainable options for their needs. I’m here to show you that transitioning to compostable bamboo containers or sturdy paper straws, ones that don’t go soggy, is simple, accessible, and affordable. And we don’t just offer compostables because sometimes recyclables and reusables are the best options.
Making your sustainability resolutions a reality
That’s why in 2022, I’m on a mission to make my presence known and help you reach your new year’s sustainability resolutions and bring your business’s carbon footprint down. All without sacrificing the quality your business is known for. After all, food packaging is the first thing your customers see, and when it comes to takeaways, we eat with our eyes.
My magic? I take the guesswork out of choosing the right products and sustainability solutions for your unique business needs. I’m here to help you make sense of the latest plastics regulations and prepare for a more sustainable future. And I curate and share my sustainability knowledge so you too can learn.
For instance, I’ve spent months, before and after its launch, studying the EU’s SUP ban, so you don’t have to. With this deep knowledge, I’ll provide advice on compliance and prepare your business for the next phases. Before that, when selecting our range, I did extensive materials research into things like bagasse, bamboo, and PLA. That means you can rely on me and my team at Verive for transparency about our products, keeping up with industry trends, and sourcing reliable news.

Now that you know a bit about me, I’m eager to start 2022 on the right foot. Let’s take the first step by working together to get your business equipped with the right disposable tableware and food packaging. Added bonus? Unlike my human colleagues, I’m a magical being who needs no sleep and isn’t affected by time zones, so I’m available to help when you need it.
