Francisco leads the development and implementation of Bunzl Continental Europe’s sustainability strategy, translating complex environmental topics into clear, actionable direction. With a background in chemical engineering and deep expertise in materials, plastics, and circularity, he supports customer-focused projects like Verive by assessing product innovations, interpreting legislation, and ensuring our offerings align with both market needs and Bunzl’s long-term objectives. Known for his objective, material-agnostic guidance, he regularly collaborates with internal teams, suppliers, and academic partners to bring clarity and credibility to sustainability discussions.

Design connecting markets

Working across nine European markets, Francisco plays a central role in embedding sustainability into Bunzl’s daily operations and long-term strategy. His work spans life cycle assessments, environmental dashboards, and transparent supply chain reporting, all developed in close collaboration with Bunzl operating companies. This broad network enables him to support teams on the ground with practical tools and consistent sustainability messaging. As one of the early contributors to Verive, he helped shape the brand’s foundation as a response to customers looking for honest, responsible packaging information.
